The Russian Freight Village Kaluga has announced it will expand its reachstacker fleet with two Liebherr reachstacker LRS 545-31.
According to a statement, the new Liebherr LRS 545-31 reachstackers has been delivered and commissioned.
Since its opening in 2013, the Freight Village Kaluga, located in the industrial area Vorsino in the southwest of Moscow, has been one of the most heavily frequented multimodal transport and logistics centers in the region.

Extending over a 500 hectares surface, the high-performance rail terminal handles up to 500,000 TEU annually.

The freight center has been using Liebherr reachstackers for two years now.
The technology was delivered in three months from the initial negotiations and commissioning.
The machines can operate fully efficient even after 12,000 operating hours.
Reachstacker LRS 545 is equipped with a hydrostatic drive. This type of drive requires neither a torque converter nor a differential. The result is 25% lower diesel consumption compared to equivalent reachstackers.
