Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) has been named the primary port gateway to the western region of Saudi Arabia, after being chosen by the country’s business community.
RSGT, the newest flagship container terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port (JIP), secured the position after posting the highest gateway volume for two consecutive months.
With an area of 750,000sqm, and an annual capacity of 2.5 million TEU, the RGST accounts for 36% of shipping traffic passing through Saudi Arabia’s western ports, and is predicted to maintain its current level of traffic until the end of 2018.

Jens Floe, RSGT’s CEO, said: “We would like to thank our customers for the trust they are placing in our services, and we are very eager to continue working and growing together.
“We are committed to keeping our organization's customer base loyal and growing together in order to achieve greater success serving the importers, exporters and shipping lines.”
