Rolls-Royce Video Outlines Smart Ship Strategy


Rolls Royce has released a new video that highlights its aims in developing smart ship technologies.

The aerospace and maritime engineering company's video sends a clear message about its digital technology strategy in shipping and how it intends to focus its teams on data monitoring for entire fleets.

Rolls-Royce recently announced that it will start using Google's cloud-based software to improve its system for detecting objects at sea.

Unmanned surface and underwater vessels are set to dominate maritime activity over the next decade, according to a report on the future of autonomous maritime systems by Lloyd’s Register, QinetiQ and the University of Southampton.
