Optimisation specialist RBS has announced that it will be supplying its terminal operating system (TOS) to the new automated terminal Tekluk Lamong, which is operated by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia at Lamong Bay, Surabaya.

In an article published by PTI previously, RBS discussed some of the points that need to be considered when progressing with equipment automation.

The project is currently in the testing phase and is planned to go live by mid-2015. The terminal will be operated with Konecranes ASCs and Gaussin’s automated terminal trailer vehicles for horizontal transport.

RBS has also recently won a deal to supply a TOS to the new terminal Petikemas Semarang (TPKS) from Indonesian state-owned terminal operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Pelindo III) in central Java.

RBS is supplying the full operating system with the TOPX-Advance package. This will control the operational processes from vessel planning, yard management to execution.
