Milaha, a Qatari provider of transport and supply chain solutions, has chosen Oracle Cloud to drive the digital transformation of its core business operations and subsidiaries.

According to a statement, the partnership will enable Milaha to create new revenue streams, introduce “innovative services”, and boost operational efficiency with automated processes.

As part of the initiative, Milaha will implement a range of Oracle Cloud applications, including Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), and Supply Chain Management (SCM): a platform that leverages IoT technology.

Dr Jean-Paul Rodrigue discusses the digitalization of trade and logistics in a recent Port Technology technical paper

As well as improving efficiency, Oracle Cloud applications are expected to optimize Milaha’s service levels and logistics operations.

Abdulrahman AlMannai, Milaha’s President and Chief Executive Officer, commented: “In line with State of Qatar 2030 vision and in a world of increasingly complex supply chains, constantly challenging the status quo is imperative to drive sustained growth and deliver on fast-evolving customer expectations.

“This is especially important for us at Milaha as our primary goal is offering synchronized solutions to our customers to help mobilize their businesses.

“The end-to-end digital transformation powered by Oracle Cloud applications will help us achieve this objective by helping drive innovation and create new business opportunities without the need to invest in additional infrastructure.”

Arun Khehar, Senior Vice President of Business Applications at ECEMEA, Oracle, added: “Milaha is a key enabler for Qatar’s economic progress and this digital transformation initiative will equip Milaha with cutting edge cloud technology that will help the company continue and sustain its mission as the preferred maritime and logistics partner of choice in Qatar, the region, and internationally.”
