Port Technology International published 12 journals throughout 2020 covering everything from automation to 5G and e-commerce.
We have covered numerous topics in the last 12 months and launched our landmark 100th Edition, which has been downloaded hundreds of times by members of the industry.
First established in 1995, the Port Technology International (PTI) Journal continues to inform and educate as well as analysing the biggest trends in the ports and terminals industry.
The PTI team and I were delighted to present to our readers the landmark 100th Edition of the Journal in the summer of 2020.
Nobody could have predicted the shock to the supply chain in 2020, but equally the industry was also hit hard in 2008-2009 following the global financial crash. In the last 25 years the ports across the globe have seen ups and downs but today’s crisis shows the industry is as resilient and essential as ever.
The 100th Edition issue saw us explore the industry in three sections: ports in focus, thought leadership and tackling the issues of today and the future.
For this special edition of the Journal we also took a focused look at ports across the world from some of the largest, including the Port of Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates and the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore, to some of the industry’s up and coming ports like Malaysia’s Port of Tanjung Pelepas and the Port of Cartagena in Colombia.
On a final note, as the industry looks to a greener and digital way of working, we too are joining in this initiative and the Journal will be available in a digital-only format from 2021 onwards.
With the same great content from our partners, ports and industry insiders make sure you get a subscription so you don’t miss out!
