Prodevelop receives AWS FTR certification for Posidonia Terminal 4.0

Prodevelop has received the Amazon Web Services (AWS) FTR (Foundational Technical Review) certification for its product, Posidonia Terminal 4.0.

This makes Prodevelop one of the first Spanish firms to be awarded the certification, which verifies that the company’s solution meets the high-quality security, reliability, and operational standards set by AWS.

The AWS FTR certification ensures that Prodevelop’s product adheres to AWS’s best practices, guaranteeing that the Posidonia Terminal 4.0 solution is of high quality, secure, reliable, and operates with operational excellence.

The certification directly benefits the programme’s users by mitigating workload risks, offering significant advantages according to the company.

“Achieving this certification is very important for us, but it is even more significant for our customers, as the AWS FTR seal of quality assures them that the technological solution they are using is high performance, reliable, and adopts the required security practices,” said Ángel Martínez, Head of Product for Terminal Solutions at Prodevelop.

The company’s IT Manager, José Manuel Blanes, explained that the certification reflects the company’s objective of offering better services to clients, enabling them to carry out their day-to-day work with greater security and peace of mind.

The company is also working to extend the certification to other products.

Earlier this month, Prodevelop completed the migration of its Posidonia Port Community System (PCS) to the cloud for the Port Authority of Gijón (PAG) to leverage the benefits of a Software as a Service (SaaS) model.

The change from on-premise to the cloud was carried out swiftly, with the port being able to continue offering its services without any interruptions.
