Prodevelop to digitalise Port Autonome de Douala

Prodevelop has announced it will digitalise the operational and financial processes of the Port Autonome de Douala (PAD) through an integrated port management software solution.

This partnership aims to transform the port’s operations, optimising internal processes and improving the management of operational and financial data while providing quality service.

The project has several key objectives: to optimise the turnaround times for ships and cargo within the port; enhance the quality of services provided to stakeholders of the PAD; increase the operational performance of its processes; and improve the management of financial and operational data, among others.

The community portal is slated to centralise requests and payments through a single entry point. The system will provide a coherent source of information, allowing for reliable statistics to support decision-making.

A continuous training plan will be implemented to guarantee effective adoption and optimal deployment of the solution.

Additionally, Prodevelop will be responsible for providing support and corrective maintenance to ensure the proper functioning and evolution of the solution.

The project will also include the retrieval of critical data and integration with existing systems, ensuring a seamless transition to the new software.

Earlier this month, Prodevelop announced the conclusion of the EIFFEL project, a collaborative research and development effort focused on enhancing climate change adaptation strategies through the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and data from the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS).
