Terminal operator signs five-year contract to operate, manage and maintain Californian cruise facility
The Port of Los Angeles has awarded Ports America a contract to operate, manage and maintain the Port of Los Angeles Cruise Terminal.
The five-year agreement, starting this month, also includes the option to be extended by two further periods of five years.
As part of the deal, New Jersey-based Ports America will also provide repairs, security, special event management and the collection of dockage, wharfage and terminal fees.
“The Port of Los Angeles is pleased to partner with Ports America at the World Cruise Center,” said LA’s executive director, Geraldine Knatz.
“We are confident that Ports America will continue the tradition of providing first-class service to our cruise lines and their passengers.”
The Port of Los Angeles Cruise Terminal, also known as the World Cruise Center, is located at Berth 90-43 in San Pedro Bay.
