Export container traffic at Valenciaport increased by around 11.7 per cent in October compared with the same month last year.
The port handled 492,772 containers, including 85,961 loaded for export.
The Statistical Office of the Port Authority of Valencia (APV) reported total cargo traffic of 6.12 million tonnes across Valencia, Sagunto and Gandia in October, a month-on-month decrease of 1.25 per cent. TEU traffic, however, rose by 4.46 per cent.
From January 2025 to date, Valenciaport has moved 67.17 million tonnes of goods, a slight year-on-year (YoY) decline of 1.12 per cent.

Container traffic reached 4.77 million TEUs, up 3.74 per cent on the previous year. Over the past 12 months, the port handled 79.90 million tonnes (-0.85 per cent) and 5.64 million TEUs (+4.47 per cent).
China remains Valenciaport’s leading international market, with 7.44 million tonnes (+12.57 per cent) and 702,248 TEUs (+18.94 per cent).
Italy ranks second by tonnage at 5.68 million tonnes, although volumes fell by 2.3 per cent.
The US is the second-largest destination by TEUs, with 314,955 containers (+1.22 per cent), followed by Algeria with 269,423 (+32.64 per cent).
