AD Ports Group has announced that Khalifa Port has been ranked 39th in the 2025 Lloyd’s List Top 100 Ports, marking continued progress in the global container port sector.
Since first entering the list in 2019 at 95th position, Khalifa Port has steadily advanced, driven by expanded capacity, integration of digital technologies, and a broader range of services.
The Lloyd’s List ranking, widely regarded as an industry benchmark, assesses ports based on throughput and operational performance.
As of Q2 2025, Khalifa Port accounted for 9.6 million TEUs of AD Ports Group’s total container capacity of 11.8 million.
Container throughput across the Group increased 21 per cent year-on-year (YoY) in H1 2025 to 3.62 million TEUs, with 85 per cent handled at Khalifa Port.

The port is the only one in the Gulf region hosting terminals operated by three of the five largest global shipping lines: COSCO Shipping Ports (CSP), CMA CGM, and MSC.
These partnerships have enhanced both capacity and direct connectivity to major international markets.
Khalifa Port is positioned as a multimodal logistics hub, integrating maritime, road, rail, and air links. Its connection with KEZAD Group, the UAE’s largest integrated industrial zone, supports a unified trade and logistics ecosystem.
The port’s development reflects broader efforts to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s role in international trade and economic diversification through investment in infrastructure and strategic partnerships.
