CLIA Pouso Alegre, the Brazilian unit of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), has inaugurated the expansion of its Logistics and Industrial Centre.
This inauguration aims to enhance links between the Port of Rio de Janeiro and Southern Minas Gerais, a region with a diverse industrial base and rising demand for integrated logistics solutions.
The upgraded facility now features 30,000 square metres (m²) of bonded area, 2,000 m² of ANVISA-certified refrigerated storage, and a container depot.

The expansion increases capacity and operational efficiency, enabling companies to reduce logistics costs and improve import and export lead times.
The inauguration also marked the launch of the Rio-Minas corridor, a multimodal logistics route designed to enhance regional integration, efficiency, and competitiveness.
The corridor strengthens Southern Minas logistics by providing proximity, cost savings, and operational stability, positioning Rio Brasil Terminal (RBT) as a reliable alternative to congested ports.
In September, Operadora Portuaria Centroamericana (OPC), the Honduran subsidiary of ICTSI, released its first sustainability report.
