Virginia International Terminals has selected Versiants' LYNX Customer Service Portal (CSP), which integrates with the Navis SPARCS/Express and N4 TOS, at its port.
In a previous article by PTI, it was reported that the Port of Virginia had set a new throughput record for 2014, having handled more than 2.3 million TEU.
This move follows a decision to replace the online demurrage and assessorial charges payment system used by APMT.
Joseph P. Ruddy, Chief Innovation Officer for The Port of Virginia, said: “We needed a solution to the challenge of providing a new payment system for some of our customers.
“The solution needed to be economical, seamless and, most importantly, user-friendly given that we were transitioning from a system that had been in place for years. We migrated to LYNX CSP system six weeks ago and have had much success with it.”
