The Hull All-Weather Terminal at King George Dock has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 accreditation and provides uninterrupted all-weather covered storage facilities. Cargo can be effectively handled from ship to the store and it also allows for an undercover rail-freight connection.

The 10,000 sq m terminal offers existing and new customers a comprehensive range of storage solutions for dry bulk materials, forest products and paper. It also continues to handle steel products.

Mike Sellers, Deputy Port Manager, ABP’s Port of Hull & Goole said: “The rebranding of the former Hull Steel Terminal to the Hull All-Weather Terminal is a logical diversification for this facility and enables us to expand the range of services that we offer our customers.”

He added: “The Port of Hull is able to offer a smooth operation, using its existing highly skilled work force, who can handle most types of cargo.”

The Port of Hull was recently granted a Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Licence* which means that the terminal can handle and store weather-sensitive bagged agribulk cargoes.

The terminal can accommodate vessels of up to 13.5m air draught within the enclosed terminal thereby offering customers sustainable freight-handling transport choices of both water and rail.
