A video released by the Port of Houston Authority shows the port as a maritime gateway for the fourth largest city in the US.
The port is strategically placed, and is part of a massive inland network of four intermodal rail terminals and 14 major highways that connect the port to all major US markets.
Known as America’s distribution centre, its foreign trade zone (FT Zone) number 84 receives more trade than any other FT Zone in the US.
Its global links are vast, as the port directly links the US Gulf with Asia, Central and South America, Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa, and the Middle East.
