Port of Tyne names new Innovation Partnerships Manager
The Port of Tyne has announced the appointment of Elaine Scott as its new Innovation Partnerships Manager.

Scott has extensive expertise from her work at Space North East England, reported the Port of Tyne, where she oversaw the growth of the region’s space sector with assistance from Business Durham, the UK Space Agency, and local universities.

The North East has reportedly witnessed tremendous investment in infrastructure and talent development, with enterprises prospering in the industry.

Now, she will concentrate on the talents and ideas required to future-proof the marine industry.

Elaine will establish and cultivate strategic partnerships with external partners from industry, academia, and government to assist enterprises and start-ups in accelerating their ideas into commercial success.

To do this, she will also look at expanding the Hub’s and Port of Tyne’s networks and capacities to offer the testbeds and support these enterprises require in the years ahead.

We’re thrilled to welcome her to the team.”

Elaine Scott added: “I’m absolutely thrilled to join the Port of Tyne at this pivotal moment, as we are making a step change for both the port itself and the 2050 Maritime Innovation Hub. The ambition is truly inspiring and the team here is amazing.
