Trade at the Port of Long Beach has risen for the ninth straight month in February 2025, as dockworkers and terminal operators transported 765,385 TEUs.
The figure represents a 13.4 per cent increase from the same month last year.
Imports surged by 11.8 per cent to 368,669 TEUs, while exports gained 2.9 per cent to 90,026 TEUs.
Empty containers passing via the port increased 19.1 per cent to 306,690 TEUs.

Port of Long Beach CEO, Mario Cordero, said: “No matter the situation, the port will remain competitive by delivering exceptional customer service and moving ahead with capital improvement projects that will allow us to grow well into the future.”
Long Beach Harbor Commission President, Bonnie Lowenthal, further stated: “Our dockworkers, marine terminal operators and all of our industry partners are processing an extraordinary amount of cargo through this vital trans-Pacific gateway.”
The port handled 1.7 million TEUs in the first two months of 2025, marking a 27.4 per cent increase from 2024.
