The Port of Koper has announced a public procurement for the development of a container dock and additional storage space in Pier 1’s northern area.
The public tender calls for the construction of a 326-metre quayside, 7 hectares of stacking and handling spaces, dredging, and the necessary power infrastructure.
The quay is built as a reinforced concrete construction with deep steel piling foundations. These will be drilled up to 66 metres into the seabed to provide suitable load-bearing capability and stability.
The deadline for tender submissions is 30 September.
