NorthPort hits milestones in three-year port upgrade
NorthPort, operated by International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), has completed several key testing and installation milestones as part of its three-year structural upgrade programme, with works at Pier 16 and Terminal 1 advancing in tandem.

Works on an initial 40-metre segment at Pier 16, within a 100-metre work area, have been ongoing since April 2026.

Pile Dynamic Analysis testing conducted on test piles achieved the required design load, confirming compliance with engineering and safety standards.

At Terminal 1, ongoing activities include underdeck repairs, wharf structure rehabilitation, and asset tagging to support long-term asset management.

These works are being carried out concurrently with testing and piling operations to maintain construction momentum without compromising safety or quality.

The current scope of works is targeted for completion by the end of June 2026, with the overall programme on track for delivery by the end of 2027.

In March, NorthPort advanced the structural strengthening of Pier 14 as part of its three-year terminal upgrade programme.
