PIL unveils new Iraq Feeder Service (IQF)

Pacific International Lines (PIL) is launching a new weekly feeder service between Jebel Ali in UAE and Umm Qasr in Iraq, aiming to strengthen its coverage and connectivity in the Middle East.

The ports of call for the Iraq Feeder Service (IQF) service are:

Jebel Ali – Umm Qasr – Jebel Ali

The IQF service will offer a weekly sailing and a transit time of 2 days and will complement PIL’s flagship Middle East service – Gulf China Service (GCS).

As a dedicated feeder service, IQF will contribute to enhancing connectivity between the Middle East with the rest of PIL’s global network.

The IQF service will commence on 15 November 2024 from Jebel Ali with PIL’s vessel, Kota Handal.

William Ho, General Manager of Long Haul Trade, Line Management at PIL said: “We are launching the IQF service to broaden and deepen PIL’s presence in the Middle East, as well as capitalise on the growth potential of the region.

“This also demonstrates our commitment to putting our customers first through pushing boundaries to meet the needs of our customers worldwide for a more comprehensive coverage in the Middle East.”

Last month, PIL and Shanghai SIPG Energy Service (SSES) completed the inaugural Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunkering of PIL’s first LNG-powered container vessel.
