A video released by the Panama Canal shows its December, 2015 update for the development work that is currently taking place for the canal’s expansion project.

The Panama Canal is still in the electro-mechanical phase of its installation. It is now 96% completed, with the third set of locks currently 95% completed.

Since 1914, the canal has served more than a million transits and is one of the most significant trade routes for commercial shipping globally.
