IRM Offshore and Marine Engineers has been selected by the Panama Canal Authority to supply an estimated 6910 of “IRM DAVP series” Arch Fendering systems.

The contract has been valued at approximately $14 million, making it one of the largest contracts for the supply of marine fender systems awarded worldwide in 2021.

IRM was selected based on the quality and reliability of the fenders that IRM offers, the company said.

“It is with honour that IRM takes up this opportunity to manufacture, test, and supply the fendering systems and to contribute to the smooth working of the Panama Canal, and support the global maritime activities surrounding it.”

From the product design to final testing, IRM has mastered its all-around manufacturing process to ensure the best quality products are produced to meet the specific project requirements, the company said.

All the departments of IRM interact with synergy to ensure the best manufacturing practices, resulting in good quality products and services.
