Major shipping line Ocean Network Express (ONE) has announced that its two largest vessels achieved container loading records during December 2018.

On 24 December, 2018, the MOL Trust set a new loading benchmark on its westbound departure from Singapore, with 18,694 TEU handled in total.

Following this unprecedented feat for a ONE vessel, the company’s MOL Tradition also broke the record during its own westbound departure from Singapore, achieving a container volume of 18,767 TEU on 29 December, 2018.

Both container ships are part of ONE’s Far East Loop 2 (FE2) service for THE Alliance, an ocean route between Singapore and Northern Europe.

The company has thanked the support of its customer base for the strong performance, as well as the cooperation of terminal operators in Singapore.

The continuous challenge set by ONE’s stowage planners and shipping crew, to optimize their vessels’ capacity and cargo weight distribution, has also been attributed credit for this achievement.

ONE recently celebrated its success in Thailand, where it has handled 1 million TEU after going into business just nine months ago.
