A video released recently shows the Wilhelmshaven container Terminal, which is Germany’s only deep-water container terminal and distributes freight to areas such as Central Europe, Scandinavia, the Baltic States and the UK.
The terminal has berths to accommodate four megaships and utilises post-Panamax ship-to-shore cranes, which are able to dispatch up to 25 container rows.
Currently, the terminal has a TEU capacity of 2.7 million and a water depth of 18 metres, and due to an optimal location, the terminal provides beneficial links to the hinterland.
