The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) has reported a 30.1 per cent rise in container volumes to 315,739 TEU for August.
Increased vessel calls and intermodal traffic, along with diverted cargo, resulted in good container volumes at the gateway.
NWSA reported that August’s total international imports hit their highest level since 2010, up 49.4 per cent from August 2023.
Full international exports increased 18.5 per cent and surpassed the five-year average for the month. Total international volumes increased 45.6 per cent compared with August 2023.
