Noatum Maritime, a key member of AD Ports Group’s Maritime & Shipping Cluster, has received its first LNG-powered Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) RoRo vessel.
As part of Noatum Maritime’s ambitious RoRo expansion, the new LNG vessel, named UGR Al Samha, will serve as the flagship for the company.
With 12 decks spanning a total of 59,331 square metres, it has a remarkable capacity of over 7,000 car equivalent units (CEU).
LNG-powered PCTC vessels offer environmental benefits, including reduced emissions, cleaner operations, and cost efficiencies through improved fuel economy, performance, and lower maintenance costs.

Captain Ammar Al Shaiba, CEO – Maritime & Shipping Cluster – AD Ports Group, said “By leveraging cleaner fuel technology, we are not only reducing our environmental footprint but also ensuring compliance with global regulations and enhancing value for our customers.”
The vessel will join United Global Ro-Ro’s fleet, operating primarily in the Middle East, Asia, and the Mediterranean to enhance global connectivity, sustainable vehicle and high & heavy cargo transport.
In February, Noatum Maritime established a new Joint Venture (JV) with Erkport, launching a RoRo liner business with integrated networks. Under the terms of the agreement, the company will own a 60 per cent stake in the JV, with Erkport owning the remaining 40 per cent.
