Navis World 2019, the San Francisco-based three-day conference that brings together the biggest names and the brightest minds in the maritime industry, has opened with the launching of ‘Navis Smart’, a new solution designed to help carriers and container terminals utilize the abundance of industry data.
According to a statement from the company, Navis Smart is a layer of technology that will enable and connect Navis solutions, applications and data from the ocean carrier and terminal side.
The introduction of Navis Smart will provide the shipping industry with the step change necessary to unleash the next wave of application intelligence and enable insights from connected solutions and leverage learning or cognitive computing, while simultaneously bring down the total cost of operations.
At Navis World 2019, the company will present two of the first applications built with Navis Smart – Compass, which helps consolidate different planning phases into a more concise and intelligent planning process and N4 Ops Monitoring, which provides real-time business intelligence.
