Data needs to be shared in order to improve the supply chain.
This is Chuck Schneider’s view as the Vice President and General Manager, EMEA, Navis, who has called for more collaboration, especially between vendors for automated container terminals.
In an interview with Port Technology, Schneider said that a lack of trust between key supply chain organizations is getting in the way of data sharing.
He stated: “We have to [share data] and I think we’re going to get there, and when we get that level of trust between all the parties and we can share the data, you’re going to see great improvements.”
