Navis, a provider of maritime software solutions for cargo and vessel performance, has announced that registration for the 2018 Carrier and Vessel Solutions Customer Conference is open.

The one-day event, which takes place on November 20 in Hamburg, Germany, will host workshops and collaborative discussions centred on increasingly connected technologies for effective and safe ship operations.

According to a statement by the company, Navis is continuing its journey towards the vision of “vessel-centric data network that links ship owners, ship managers, liner operators, terminals and all stakeholders”.

Attendees of the conference will learn how the increasingly connected software suite from Navis and XVELA, a collaborative maritime business platform, can unlock greater productivity across the technical, operational and compliance aspects of day-to-day shipping operations.

Sessions organised for the conference focus on three key tracks: performance, collaboration and compliance.

In the performance section, attendees will discover how container planning solutions can optimize vessel utilization, as well as how to boost environmental-friendly vessel performance from a cargo perspective.

Sessions focused on collaboration will demonstrate how to connect Navis’ loading computer MACS3 with performance monitoring, as well as providing an update on XVELA’s optimized berth window management solution.

Finally, sessions on compliance will underline how to ensure a smooth verification and reporting process for shipping operations.

In addition to these targeted areas, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss current customer challenges and pain points related to operations and join forces to identify potential solutions.
