Navis, a part of Cargotec Corporation, and provider of operational technologies that unlock greater performance and efficiency for the world’s leading terminal operators has announced the launch of the first Navis Inspire Awards to be sponsored by Port Technology International.
The Navis Inspire Awards recognise excellence in container terminal operations and celebrate customers who use the Navis terminal operating system (TOS) and optimisation modules to innovate, optimise and deliver value for positive impact at their terminal facilities and in their broader communities. Categories for the Inspire Awards include: Terminal Operations Improvement; Innovation; Customer Impact and Community Impact.
“Our goal with the Navis Inspire Awards is to celebrate the successes of our customers, who are always pursuing innovative ways to improve operations at their terminals,” said Andy Barrons, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Navis.
“In a time where vessels are getting bigger and industry demands are increasing, terminals are facing tremendous pressure to be more efficient and productive than ever before. Our intention is to recognise the strides our customers are making to leverage the terminal operating system and integrated technologies to help optimise productivity and enable further enhancement of service delivery to their customers.”
The deadline to submit a nomination for a Navis Inspire Award is Monday, February 9, 2015.
Following, Navis Community users will be able to vote for submissions in each category starting February 15, 2015 until March 9, 2015.
From there, winners will be selected based on a combination of peer voting and a final selection by a joint judging panel of Navis and Port Technology International executives. The award winners will be promoted through features in the Port Technology International Journal and through recognition at the Navis World 2015 conference on March 30, 2015.
“We are proud to be a sponsor of the Navis Inspire Awards. We look forward to showcasing all of the accomplishments that terminal sites around the world have achieved through their collaboration with Navis,” said James AA Khan, Managing Director at Port Technology International.
