MSC introduces new office in Tempe Arizona

Charleston, SC, USA - February 27, 2023: Stella, a 304-meter container ship owned by Mediterranean Shipping Company and flagged to Panama, sails out of Charleston Harbor.

MSC has announced plans to open its new MSC Tempe office, expanding the company’s network of locations across the US.

Located on the Arizona State University (ASU) campus, the construction of the 777 Tower, totalling 160,000 square feet, is set to be completed by spring of 2024.

The 28,302-square-foot space on the sixth floor of the tower will welcome 170 MSC employees, where most positions will be filled locally.

The 777 Tower aligns with MSC’s sustainability commitments due to its green resource and utility usage as well as eco-friendly waste management.

The addition of the Tempe office will mark MSC’s tenth office in the United States, including Baltimore, Boston, Charleston, Chicago, Costa Mesa, Houston, Miami, New Orleans, and its New York headquarters.

MSC received the support of local partners including Arizona State University, the Greater Phoenix Economic Council and the Arizona Commerce Authority in this expansion.

“We are thrilled to announce that we will be opening our latest branch office in Tempe in 2024, welcoming new team members to the MSC family,” said Fabio Santucci, President, MSC USA.

“The opening of this new location is a significant step towards establishing a more robust presence in the rapidly expanding West Coast and Gulf regions,” Santucci added.

Sandra Watson, President and CEO of the Arizona Commerce Authority additionally stated: “With access to major world markets and modern infrastructure, Arizona provides a premier environment to support MSC’s shipping and logistics operations.”

This announcement comes a week after MSC announced the launch of a new Inter-Asia service called Shikra, aimed at strengthening port connectivity and availability in Asia.

More recently, MSC selected ECS Group as general sales and service agent (GSSA) for North America and Europe within its Air Cargo business unit.
