Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced that its standalone East/West network services will be enhanced with additional port calls to optimise its Asia to Europe, US and Canada connectivity.
MSC’s standalone East/West network set to commence in February 2025 will be enhanced with the following adjustments for MSC’s Asia to Europe, US and Canada trades:
MSC’s Mustang service connecting Asia to the Northwest US and Canada will be added to MSC’s East/West network.
The new rotation will be:
Xiamen – Yantian – Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan – Seattle – Vancouver – Portland – Busan

MSC is enhancing connectivity across key trade routes with new port calls. The Pearl and Chinook services now include Vung Tau and Haiphong in Vietnam for Asia-US/Canada trade.
In Asia-Europe trade, Nansha is added to the Lion and Dragon services, while the Swan-Sentosa service will include Yantian westbound and a direct call to Yokohama, replacing Busan.
A westbound Busan call is added to the Orient and Lonestar services, and the Jade service will now stop at Vizhinjam, India, en route to the Mediterranean.
The Dragon service replaces Colombo with Vizhinjam on its eastbound leg.

Moreover, a call in Colombo will be added to MSC’s Britannia service connecting trade between Asia and North Europe. Furthermore, Colombo will be added to MSC’s America service eastbound from the US East Coast back to Asia.
MSC’s Albatros service will now feature two calls in the UK – London Gateway will be added after Felixstowe – Felixstowe will remain the first call in Europe from Asia.
