A.P. Moller – Maersk (Maersk) has announced a new transport solution that connects important manufacturing countries in the US, Far East and especially Mediterranean and Europe with Central Asian markets.
The company’s new offering, an end-to-end multi-modal ship and rail transport solution, intends to improve cargo transportation efficiency, notably for consumer, lifestyle, and tech items to Central Asia’s burgeoning consumer markets.
While this new tailored solution is primarily aimed at Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, according to Maersk this will serve as the foundation for future logistical offers in neighbouring countries such as Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
