A.P. Moller – Maersk (Maersk) has announced the start of operations at its new warehouse in Denain, northern France.
The 75,000-square-metre Maersk warehouse, the company’s first in France, is located in GLP Park Denain (with a total surface area of around 100,000 square metres) and is currently fully operational.
The complex is located near the city of Lille in Hauts-de-France, the third-largest logistics employment region in France, with about half a million people living less than 30 minutes away and easily accessible via 12 highways and rail links.
The new facility is located at the intersection of the A2 and A21 motorways (109 kilometres from Brussels and 198 kilometres from Paris) and beside the river Scheldt Canal (Grand Canal de l’Escaut).
