A.P. Moller-Maersk (Maersk) has hailed the arrival of its newest dual-fuel methanol container carrier in Singapore, as part of its first trip from Asia to Europe.
The tanker called “A.P. Møller” honours Arnold Peter Møller, the founder of A.P. Moller-Maersk, and is the ninth in Maersk’s fleet capable of operating on methanol.
The godmother of “A.P. Møller” was Chan Su-Shan, the wife of Temasek Holdings’ CEO in Singapore.
