APM Terminals (APMT) will welcome a new leadership team in the summer with the retirement of its current CEO.
Morten Engelstoft, Executive Board Member and CEO of APMT, will retire after 36 years with A.P. Moller – Maersk (Maersk).
Keith Svendsen, currently COO in APM Terminals, will be appointed CEO of APM Terminals, and Henriette Hallberg Thygesen, Executive Board Member, will be appointed as the company’s new Chairperson.
The changes will take effect from 1 July.

“We have built a strong foundation for APM Terminals, and the business is today well positioned in the industry and for the next chapter of our strategy.”
Morten Engelstoft became CEO of APM Terminals in 2016 and he was appointed member of the Executive Board in 2017.
His successor, Keith Svendsen, has been part of Maersk since 1990 and has been the Chief Operating Officer in APM Terminals since 2017.
The Executive Vice President, Henriette Hallberg Thygesen, has been with Maersk since 1994. In addition to the role as Chair of APM Terminals, she will also assume Executive Board responsibility for Safety & Resilience, which includes Crisis Management across Maersk.
