Luka Koper Container Terminal has become the first port in the Adriatic to exceed 1 million TEU in one year.
The port set the historic milestone in the morning hours of 22 December 2022.
“This is an important milestone, especially in the light of the current global situation in logistics sector,” said commented Boštjan Napast, President of the Management Board of Luka Koper.

In the last two years the Koper Container terminal has seen an intensive investment period, with the new extension of the quayside and additional stacking areas.
In addition, the port saw the installation of two super post-panamax STS cranes in May 2022.
