A video released by the Port of Long Beach shows a key summary of the port’s annual ‘State of the Port’ address, in which Jon Slangerup, CEO of the Port of Long Beach recounted the success seen at the port in 2015 and also looked at the projects that are helping it to boost its service offering.
The port is working towards zero-emissions cargo movement and recently saw its biggest year for TEU throughput since pre-recession levels. In 2015, the port handled around 7.2 million TEU.
