YILPORT has announced progress in its exploratory engagements with the Government of Ghana and key national authorities to support the country’s long-term transport and logistics development agenda.
As part of the Takoradi Port Development initiative, YILPORT is reviewing preliminary terms with the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) concerning potential infrastructure enhancements and future concession planning for the Port of Takoradi as a part of the Western Corridor maritime gate.
These early discussions focus on long-term capacity needs, modernisation priorities, and alignment with Ghana’s maritime and Western Corridor development strategy.
In parallel, YILPORT is engaged with the Ghana Railway Development Authority (GRDA) on an initial investment outline for the Western Railway corridor.
The dialogue covers rehabilitation requirements, multimodal integration opportunities, and measures to improve inland-to-port cargo movement connected to YILPORT ATSL-Takoradi.
YILPORT is also in early-stage discussions with the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA) to assess initial cooperation parameters for the Boankra Inland Logistics Terminal (BiLT), focusing on operational scope, development expectations, and potential public–private collaboration models.
The discussions are progressing in a phased and carefully evaluated manner, with further assessments planned as part of the ongoing cooperation framework.
