Swedish industry publication Dagens Logistik has ranked the Gothenburg region as the top logistics location in the Nordic region.
Dagens Logistik assessed infrastructure versatility, accessibility and sustainability, including roads, rail, ports, airports and intermodal terminals.
Freight flows, import/export conditions, proximity to population centers, logistics expertise, workforce availability, and education and research capacity were also considered.
Jacob Minnhagen, Senior Market Development Manager at the Port of Gothenburg, commented: “The port is central to the region’s role as a logistics location, and over the past year its position has been strengthened both in Sweden and internationally.
“Not least through an expanded network of shipping services and continued rail development linking the port to inland destinations resulting in record volumes in 2025, increased market shares, and a strengthened role for the port as a hub for Nordic trade with the world.
“We have long maintained close collaboration with Swedavia Landvetter Airport, Business Region Gothenburg and other stakeholders across the region. Together, we are working to further increase our attractiveness for logistics establishments, and we continue to see growing interest both around the port and across the wider region.”

The Port of Gothenburg functions as a key logistics hub for the Nordic region, hosting the region’s largest container and car/RoRo ports, supported by a comprehensive rail network and robust road and air connections.
The ranking has been published for 26 years, with Gothenburg named best logistics location 25 times. Since 2024, the list covers the Nordic region.
This year, the Öresund and Stockholm regions follow in second and third place, with Oslo, the Baltics, Helsinki, Jönköping, Bothnian Bay and Central Jutland completing the top 10.
