Liebherr announces repeat Argentinian and Ukrainian orders

  • HPC Ukrania and Argentina’s Exolgan Container Terminal order three STS cranes and one STS crane respectively

Liebherr Container Cranes has announced a number of repeat orders from its existing clients due for delivery this year, including from Beunos Aires, Argentina and Odessa in the Ukraine.

The Argentinian Exolgan Container Terminal in Buenos Aires, has purchased a further ship to shore container (STS) crane, due to be commissioned in the coming months, to bring the total of Liebherr cranes at the termial to nine. Like the previous crane, delivered in September of last year, this crane has an outreach of 51.5 metres, a safe working load of 62.5 tonnes under twinlift spreader, a lift height over rail of 40 metres and can handle vessels with up to 20 rows of containers.

HPC Ukrania will also purchase three further Liebherr STS cranes. The cranes will boast an outreach of 54.5 metres, a lift height over rail of 41.5 metres, a safe working load of 65 tonnes under twin lift spreader and will again be capable of servicing vessels with up to 20 rows of containers. The cranes will be used at the new deepwater container terminal at Quarintine Mole, Odessa. HPC Ukrania already operate a number of Liebherr STS cranes at the existing Odessa Container Terminal.
