The Liberian registry has reached a historic milestone with the registration of its four thousandth vessel – the 50,000 dead weight tonnage (DWT) chemical and product tanker ‘High Trust’, which is owned by d’Amico International Shipping S.A. group.
Scott Bergeron, CEO of the Liberian International Ship & Corporate Registry (LISCR), said: “The Liberian-registered fleet continues to grow at a rapid pace with the planned addition of quality tonnage under quality ownership and management.

“The High Trust is an appropriate name for our four thousandth vessel, since it symbolises the ongoing faith shown in the Liberian flag by the international shipping community.
Scot Bergeron concluded: “Size may not be everything. But ship registries which continue to build on their market share in a tightly regulated and safety-conscious sector by adding quality tonnage are clearly providing the service and expertise which today’s shipping industry demands.”
