Konecrane’s Truconnect Remote Services are to be introduced to the Southeast Asia region for enhanced reliability, safety and efficiency, according to the company.
The line-up includes a variety of distinct remote services as part of Konecranes’ latest development, ranging from periodic data reporting to real-time diagnostics, technical support and production monitoring.
The remote connection offered by Truconnect is based on a diagnostic unit that collects detailed information from the crane and sends it back to the Konecranes Remote Center through a highly secured connection inside VPN tunnelling. The Remote Center analyses and compiles the information into a report that users can view online.
Konecranes senior vice-president and head of region, Southeast Asia Pacific, Steve Gagnuss said: “Truconnect remote monitoring and reporting is being introduced to help customers improve the productivity of their equipment by optimising crane usage, improving safety and optimising crane maintenance. All of these improvements are made possible by Truconnect technology providing crucial information at the right time.”
Gagnuss added: “Konecranes Truconnect remote monitoring and reporting service provides users with a clear view of their crane’s usage through continuous data collection. For the customer, this means improved safety and higher efficiency because crane maintenance can be planned according to the crane’s actual usage.”
