Terminal operator DP World has implemented six Konecranes forklift trucks at Jebel Ali Terminal 1, in Dubai, UAE.
The SMV16-1200C model trucks, which have a lifting capacity of 16 tons, were delivered in June 2018, joining DP World’s existing fleet of Konecranes forklift trucks, empty container handlers, reach stackers and RTGs.
To meet DP World’s safety requirements, the machines were equipped with an overload protection system and disabled forklift function, stopping the truck when a seatbelt is disengaged.

“Due to the quality and reliability of the machines together with excellent aftersales support we choose Konecranes.”
