The record was achieved aboard CSCL INDIAN OCEAN, a 400-metre, 20,000 TEU containership operated by Saudi Global Ports.

The CSCL INDIAN OCEAN beat the previous record of 18,021 TEU set in Q2 2022.

This record comes less than a month after MAWANI and Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry  agreed to establish an integrated logistics park at Al Khumrah, south of Jeddah.

More recently, MAWANI announced the addition of King Abdulaziz Port to the newly launched India-Saudi-Iraq (ISI) shipping service operated by Singapore-based, Bengal Tiger Line (BTL).
