Kalmar, a provider of lifting solutions, has agreed to supply cargo-handling operator Servicios Logisticos Portuarios SLP with five heavy-duty forklift trucks.
Based at the Port of Bilbao, Spain, the delivery of the new equipment is scheduled to arrive during the third quarter of 2019.
SLP already operates a number of older Kalmar forklifts at Bilbao and, according to a statement, has benefitted from their reliable performance.

The five new units, which were booked as part of Cargotec's order intake for Q1 2019, will be used primarily to handle steel mill products such as plates and coils.
Features of the forklift trucks include the EGO cabin, which offers excellent visibility in all directions, and easily accessible service points to make maintenance faster and easier.
In addition to this, the vehicles are equipped with a control system that offers a range of possibilities for customising the truck's functions.
