Kalmar Delivers Forklifts to Port of Dalian

Kalmar have delivered three Essential Forklifts to the Dalian Port Corporation in China to equip the Bulk Grain and Logistics arm.

The new Essentials range of forklifts have capacities ranging from 10 to 18 tons, and can be used for container handling as well as bulk materials.

The Dalian Port Corporation acts as a major transhipment hubs for a range of bulk handling, including grain, steel, and coal) in Northeast China featuring a total annual throughput capacity of 18 million tonnes.

The new equipment will join the existing fleet of Kalmar reachstackers and forklifts to handle metal materials such as steel coils and plates.

Head of Terminal Equipment department of the Dalian Port Corporation Limited, Bulk Grain and related Logistics, said: “The ability of Kalmar to win in the open bid tender signifies its outstanding product performance, superb reliability and low failure rate, together with their excellent local support service.

“Our port terminal personnel have recognized the outstanding performance of the Kalmar Forklift after many years of use.

To commemorate the delivery of the Essential range of forklifts, Kalmar showcased the new range at a roadshow co-hosted with Dalian De Yulong Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Technology Corporation at the Port of Dalian.
