Kalmar has concluded an agreement with Uwe Kleinwort GmbH to supply five Kalmar Gloria reachstackers with a lifting capacity of 45 tons.
The order was previously booked in Cargotec’s Q1 2022 order intake and delivery is scheduled for Q4 of 2022.
Both parties have a long-standing relationship as Kleinwort’s extensive rental fleet equipment now includes reachstackers, terminal tractors, forklift trucks and empty container handlers from the cargo handling giant.
This latest purchase follows an order of five Gloria reachstackers placed in Q4 of 2021. These machines will be delivered in May 2022.
“Our fleet already includes approximately 150 Kalmar machines, and we have chosen to continue this relationship because of the high quality of the equipment, the excellent spare parts availability, and the high-quality level of after-sales service. We aim to continue our collaboration with Kalmar as we seek to further expand our equipment fleet,” said Uwe Kleinwort, Managing Director of Uwe Kleinwort GmbH.
Björn Steffen, Sales Manager of Kalmar Germany, added: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to continue our cooperation with Uwe Kleinwort, a customer that we have built an excellent relationship with over three decades of collaboration.”
Last week, Kalmar also announced it had concluded an agreement with Tecer Terminais Portuários do Ceará Ltda (Tecer Terminais) to supply two heavy forklift trucks and two Super Gloria reachstackers to the Port of Pecém.
The new equipment will be used to handle wind turbine components safely and efficiently. Both machines will include a range of additional safety features and have the necessary hardware for connection to the Kalmar Insight performance management tool.
