K-Line Receives 14,000-TEU Ship

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K-Line) has recently announced that its 14,000- TEU ‘Millau Bridge’, the first of five ships ordered in 2013, has been delivered at Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Hiroshima Shipyard, Tokyo, Japan.

The ship will be deployed on the Asia-Europe service (NE2) under the CKYHE Alliance.

The NE2 service will be upsized following the delivery of K-Line’s four remaining ships,

The 4 remaining ships are due to be delivered in 2018 and its ULCV (Ultra Large Container Vessel) fleet, with the latest energy-saving technologies, will become 10 units in total.
