JAXPORT CEO to provide update on port development in 2025

Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Eric Green has announced that he would provide updates on the port’s main expansion projects and future plans.

According to JAXPORT, this will occur at the State of the Port address on 6 February at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront.

The Propeller Club of the United States – Port of Jacksonville hosts the annually event, which gives updates on JAXPORT’s business and supply chain developments.

CEO Green and Chief Commercial Officer Robert Peek will discuss investments that are improving JAXPORT’s cargo-handling capabilities, such as the modernisation of the SSA Jacksonville Container Terminal, Southeast Toyota Distributors’ new auto-processing facility, container crane fleet upgrades, and the expansion of JAXPORT’s vehicle berths and on-dock storage.

Eric Green, CEO of JAXPORT, said: “We have a number of initiatives underway that will build on JAXPORT’s position as Florida’s largest container port. All of these projects enhance our capabilities and set the stage for continued strategic growth, which supports jobs, economic impact, and supply chain security for our region and state.”

In December 2024, JAXPORT announced that it was growing its global container services through strategic partnerships with the world’s top ocean carriers.
